*** a lot of , lots of 意思相同，皆為大量，許多的意思。
不過 lots of 較常用於口語。兩者都可以用在不可數/可數名詞之前
I have got a lot of things to do. (我還有很多事要做)
There are lots of people over there. (那裡有很多人)
a lot 是副詞, 可修飾動詞，也常用來修飾副詞或形容詞的比較級，
a lot 意為「在XXX 程度上，非常」(=much, a great deal)。
This is a lot better. (這個好多了)
