Toast 原來不只是吐司......
在看西方影集或電影時，是不是常常聽到他們在喝酒前大喊 toast---------！
toast？？？？？不是吐司的意思嗎？
其實 toast 除了吐司外，還有一個很常見的意思: 敬酒或祝酒。
我們來看以下的例子:
Let's toast the bride and the groom. ( toast 當動詞 )
We all drank a toast to the bride and groom . ( toast 當名詞 )
那麼為何 toast 會跟敬酒扯上關係呢?
據說以前酒的品質比較不好，所以人們習慣在喝酒之前把吐司放進入酒中，使酒的味道變好。
漸漸的， toast 就成了敬酒或祝酒之意了呢~
