對於中文為母語的學生來說，大部分都會覺得動詞和介系詞的學習不容易，尤其是動詞和介系詞的搭配更是麻煩 。因為一個動詞可以和許多介系詞搭配組成片語，而每一個片語的意思又不一樣。甚至片語的意思和原來動詞意思，也可能完全不相同呢！而要如何確定不同動詞片語的正確用法呢? 不得不再提醒大家要使用英英字典!

以 call 這個字為例子，最常見的意思為打電話，但是加上不同的介係詞後，竟然還有取消，拜訪，車輛停靠……等意思。

[ 取消  ] Call off : to decide that a planned event will not happen

例句: The match was called off due to bad weather.

[ 拜訪 ] Call on : to stop at a house or other place for a short time to see someone or do something

例句 : One of my neighbors called on me last night.

[ 車輛停靠 ]  Call at : if a train, bus etc. calls at a place, it stops there to let passengers get on or off 
例句: This train calls at all local stations.

現在回到我們的主題：動詞搭配介係詞的常見錯誤。請大家看一看以下的幾句，可不可以找出錯誤並更正:

1. 我得到消息後會和你聯絡。

I will contact with you when I get the information.

2. 我妹妹和Jason去年結婚

My sister married with Jason last year.

3. 英語老師強調了大聲朗讀的重要性。

The English teacher stressed on the importance of reading aloud.  

4.  他不喜歡流露出他的感覺

He doesn't like to show out his feelings.

5. 你跟老板提到這事沒有？

Did you mention about this to the boss?  

大家找到錯誤在哪裡嗎?  

這5句的共同錯誤就是 : 動詞後不需要加介係詞 !!!

請看正確的說法：

1. 我得到消息後會和你聯絡。

I will contact you when I get the information.

看到這裡一定會有很多人覺得奇怪，明明就常看到 contact 加 with 的句子啊! 　沒錯，不過那是 contact 當名詞使用的時候，例如 :　We don't have much contact with the Australian division of the company.　Contact 當動詞時就有　＂與……聯繫　＂之意，所以不用再加 with了！

2. 我妹妹和  Jason去年結婚

My sister married Jason last year.

Marry 這個動詞也是有　＂和……結婚　＂的意思，所以不用加　with。不過如果要用形容詞  married 來表示已婚狀態，就需要加介係詞 to來表示，例句：My sister is married to Jason.　

3. 英語老師強調了大聲朗讀的重要性。

The English teacher stressed the importance of reading aloud. 

Stress 動詞時一樣不用加介係詞，但是當名詞時則需要加 on， 這也是大家容易混淆的的地方。我們來看  stress　當名詞時的例句：My mother put great stress on proper behavior .  

5.  他不喜歡流露出他的感覺

He doesn't like to show his feelings.

因為show中文的解釋有＂流露出＂的意思，所以可能就習慣加上  out　這個字。不過其實  show out 有另外的意思：to go to the door of the building with someone who does not live or work there, when they are leaving　就是＂送（客人）出門＂的意思 。

6. 你跟老板提到這件事了沒有？

Did you mention this to the boss ? 

我們來看mention 的英文解釋：to talk about something or someone in a conversation, piece of writing etc., especially without saying very much or giving details.

因為　mention就是　talk about ，有＂提到，說起＂的意思，所以不用再加　about 了。

以上這些錯誤是不是大家也曾經有過 ? 不用擔心，語言學習本來就會犯錯。最重要的是要有正確的觀念，加上不斷的練習，自然你的英文就會越來越精確了!
